Can I ask do you all keep the antibiotics in the sepsis boxes? Ours aren't currently in there.

In Hull the answer is no, we strongly advocate antimicrobial stewardship so it would be impossible to put all antibiotics in the boxes, and the risk is giving whatever is in there for ease

Hi Sarah, we have a deteriorating patient trolley which is sealed with a numbered tag and keep our Abx for sepsis of unknown origin in there along with all the traditional contents of a crash trolley. It meets pharmacy requirements as it also has the cardiac arrest drugs and fluids in there so was easy to get it approved to add to all adult trollies. Our deteriorating patient team are all able to use a PGD for these (or are prescribers), and CCOT have access to the PGD but have unfortunately not adopted it.
